Post-jam Updates

  • Added main music loop

Overview

You are the very first computer mouse ever created - escape from confines of a computer research lab by completing series of puzzles designed by pesky computer engineers and reach freedom!

Controls

  • Note that your mouse will be 'locked' to the game window once you start the game. You can press Esc to release the mouse from the window and click on the window again to lock it
  • Move mouse to interact with the environment
  • Press 'R' to restart a level

Development

The project is far from complete and only really features 3 small levels, but hopefully it's somewhat enough to communicate the idea. This is the first time I've used Love2D for a game jam and majority of time was spent on implementing the tooling and design tools - what you see here was mostly actually made on the last day of the jam. Hopefully, by the next one I'll be able to do a lot more a lot quicker!

Planned Features

  • Add various "pointer" modes like touch, stretch, grab, shrink, etc. borrowing from existing OS mouse pointers
  • Add environmental forces like applying physics to the cursor, attractors/repellers, sliding surfaces
  • Proper level transitions
  • More levels
  • Music & custom art

I'm kinda confused on how I complete the level. Cool though!

Hey - thanks for playing! Yeah, with no proper tutorial and no hints it might be kind of difficult to figure out.. you can use the mouse to move the boxes by pushing the mouse into them. Then, you can move the box into one of the slots on the level to activate the door. Sometimes doors require more than one box.

oh dude, this is sick!
