EXP-01: Fall From Grace
This is part of my ongoing weekly and sometimes bi-weekly game design experiments. Every week I come up with a game idea and prototype it out.
Overview
- Play the familiar classic but from a different perspective - your goal is to now make sure that a Stack player loses.
Controls
- Press ESC to pause
- Every turn you get 3 energy points - use them to play 3 tetrimino cards
- The cards you play are queued up to drop for the Stack player
- Pressing “End Turn” begins Stack player’s turn
- The sequence in which they drop is the key for your strategy!
Future improvements/thoughts
- Cards with special abilities
- Cards with more than 4 blocks (would cost more energy)
- Implement punishment for just skipping through the turns and finding perfect cards
- Every time the Stack player would finish the line, a damage would be dealt
- More difficult AI in future levels
- Shop where new cards can be bought with experience points earned from “battle”
